Shomer - Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Shomer app for Wix ("Shomer", "the app") handles information. Shomer is made by AK Digital (Anna Kheifets), Israel ("we", "us"). Contact: support@ak-digital.com.
What Shomer is
Shomer lets a Wix site owner close their site, or pause its checkout and bookings, during Shabbat and Jewish holidays. It runs inside Wix: settings are saved in the owner's Wix site, and the closure logic runs in the visitor's browser and in Wix's own checkout and booking checks.
Information we process
Site owners (the people who install Shomer)
The settings you choose in the Shomer dashboard: city, coordinates and time zone, timing options, holidays, texts, colors, custom closure dates, and the images you pick from your Wix Media Manager. These settings are stored in your Wix site (as the app's site settings), not on our own servers.
Your plan information (free or paid) and app instance identifiers, which Wix provides to the app so the right features are turned on. Payments are processed by Wix; we never see your payment details.
City search runs on a city list built into the app. Your search text is not sent to any third party.
Visitors of a site that uses Shomer
Shomer does not collect, store or send any personal information about visitors. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels or analytics.
The visitor's browser only reads the site's Shomer settings and the current time to decide whether the site is open.
When the site owner uses the private owner link, a random key is saved in that owner's own browser (local storage) so they can view the site during Shabbat. Only a one-way hash of that key is stored in the site settings.
When a visitor checks out or books an appointment, Wix asks Shomer whether the business is open at that time. Shomer only checks the time against the schedule. It does not store the cart, the booking or any customer details.
How we use information
Only to provide the app's features: calculating closure times, showing the Shabbat screen, banner and badge, blocking checkout or bookings during closures, and turning on the features of your plan. We do not sell or share information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where information is stored
Shomer is hosted by Wix. Settings live in your Wix site and are covered by Wix's own security and privacy practices (https://www.wix.com/about/privacy). We keep no separate database of owners or visitors.
Retention and deletion
Your settings stay in your site while Shomer is installed. When you remove the app from your site, Wix removes the app and its settings from the site. You can also contact us at any time to ask about your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the Israeli Privacy Protection Law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information. Write to support@ak-digital.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Children
Shomer is a tool for business owners and is not directed to children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
